6. Course Objectives

English Correspondence for International Trade is a course to help the students get have the knowledge of:

  • The layout of business letters

  • Special terms and expressions in business letters

  • Certain writing techniques

English has become the language commonly adopted in international business. This course aims to improve students English so that they can use English effectively and confidently in futures business communication.

7. Course Contents

English Correspondence For International Trade is a course set for the students of international major to diversify their abilities in order to meet various employment requirements. The course aims to develop students writing communication ability needed in foreign trade, in which the students may engage after graduation. This course will introduce not only the skills of business letter-writing but also the basic knowledge of practices in foreign trade. It will emphasize the elements of business letter- writing such as the principles and attitudes, the forms of business letters on various issues, the useful sentences and expressions. The students will get lots of training by writing and revising business letters so as to sharpen their business communication ability.
